Senior Superintendent of Police and Advocate Nihal Talduwa says vehicle robberies and thefts are overgrowing across the country.

The Police Media Spokesman states that 1405 vehicles have been stolen in 2021 and 1406 vehicles have been stolen up to September 30, 2022.

Accordingly, 12 buses, 25 vans, 16 lorries, 14 cars, 311 tricycles, 1116 motorcycles, and 12 other vehicles have been stolen.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Advocate Nihal Talduwa further stated that most of the above vehicles were stolen after being left unprotected.

Therefore, the Police Media Spokesperson is emphasizing that all drivers should be concerned about the safety of their vehicles.
