Expressed concerns from India, the Sri Lankan government has advised China to postpone Yuan Wang 5’s visit temporally, as per official sources on Friday.
According to the analytics website MarineTraffic, the Yuan Wang 5 is on its way from the Chinese port of Jiangyin and is scheduled to arrive in the Sri Lankan port of Hambantota on August 11.
Last Monday, the Indian government stated that it will closely watch “any bearing on India’s security and economic interests and takes all necessary measures to safeguard them”.
