Justin Bieber has halted a number of concerts on his current tour due to “complete paralysis” on one side of his face caused by a virus.
After a virus affected the nerves in his ear, the Canadian singer was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. In a video shared on his Instagram page, he stated that he was dealing with a “pretty serious” condition.
“As you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves. As you can see, this eye is not blinking, I can’t smile on this side of my face, this nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face.” the singer said in a video.
Bieber went on to say that he’s been practicing facial exercises to “get my face back to normal,” although he’s not sure how long it would take. Watch the entire video below.
